I'm not good at updating this blog thingy....
The bad news: Yeah, I've pretty much been horrible at updating this website.....
The good news: We've actually taken a few new pictures of Katy and Vinny and will be posting them soon. Hopefully. : )
The quick update is that everyone is doing pretty well. Katy is growing like crazy. Vinny has been battling both colds and going to bed, but all-in-all he's your typical 2 1/2 year old--full of energy and curiousity. He keeps us on our toes to say the least. Michele and I are pretty much tired all of the time, but can't complain otherwise.
Keep checking in for picture updates!

Kathryn Zoe has arrived!
Katy was born today at 6:35-ish p.m. MDT here in Twin Falls, Idaho. She weighs 7 pounds 6 ounces and is 21" long. Everyone is healthy and Sara did a wonderful job through the delivery. I'll try to post some pictures later on.
Things are moving faster...
Action is starting to pick up. Sara's contractions have intensified and are more frequent now and she has, in a matter about 90 minutes, gone from 3 cm to 9 cm. The doctor has arrived too!
Starting the Pitosin...
Since there have been few contractions, they've started the Pitosin to help get the contractions going. It's 1:40 p.m. and we're waiting on things to start working....
The Trip to Idaho
Michele and I started the trip to Idaho at 2 a.m. (EDT) Friday morning with the trip to the Indianapolis airport. Everything was going well until we hit a little road construction on the west side. This little delay caused us to show up at the United check in 40 minutes before our flight left. It turns out that there is a newer rule that says you need to be there 45 minutes before or you can't board. So we ended up missing our 5:45 a.m. flight. After waiting a few times (unsuccessfully) on standby, we finally got seats confirmed on a 7 p.m. flight.
Since we had a few hours to kill, we went to Cindy & Ben's house to nap which ended up being a life saver later on. We made our 7 p.m. flight to Chicago without further problems and even got in the air on the way to Boise very smoothly with an anticipated arrival time of 10:56 p.m. (MDT).
Toward the end of the flight the captain decided to divert to Idaho Falls since Boise was experiencing fog. We sat there got fuel and waited. We ended up getting back in the air around 12:00 a.m. with the plan of ATTEMPTING to land at Boise and if that didn't work spending the night in Salt Lake City. We did end up landing at Boise, through some serious fog, at around 1:30 a.m. Special thanks to Captain Dave for sticking the landing--he got an ovation from the grateful passenger.
We ended up getting a hotel room and got to bed around 2 a.m. (MDT).
We woke up this morning, picked up our rental car, and loaded it up. As we started to pull out of the lot, we realized we had a flat tire. SO, after changing to another vehicle, we got on the road to Twin Falls. We managed to avoid most of the fog and had a nice drive the whole way down, successfully avoiding the winter storm that is in the area. Twin Falls actually has 1 - 2 inches of snow on the ground when we arrived at 11 a.m.
So we're here, Sara's here, and we've started to induce. More updates to follow.
